Membership of Hull Kingston Archers is open to individuals irrespective of gender, nationality, ethnic origin, religion, sexual orientation or physical disability.
Junior Membership is available to young persons aged between 12 and 17 (inclusive). In order to shoot with the Club, the Junior must be accompanied at all times by an adult family member (18 +), who will be responsible for supervising him/her.
The Club’s ability to accept new Members depends on there being adequate resources to support the number of Members wishing to shoot. For this reason, from time to time, it may be necessary for the Club to close its doors to newcomers. The Club is currently OPEN to Membership applications.
Interested parties must possess their own archery equipment and satisfy one of the following Membership criteria:
- Be an experienced archer and be registered currently (or recently) with the Grand National Archery Society (Archery GB).
- Be an experienced archer and be able to demonstrate safe, advanced shooting skills.
- Be a novice archer (beginner) and have completed the Club’s Beginner’s Course in Recurve Archery.
Most new Members join Hull Kingston Archers by satisfying the third criterion.
Membership is also subject to the applicant confirming that he/she will shoot in accordance with the GNAS Rules of Shooting and that he/she will abide by the Club’s Rules, as set out in the Constitution. Please note that, to be successful, Membership applications require Committee approval.
Individuals interested in joining the Club should request a Membership Application Form from the Secretary.
